Project:           Design and preparation of contract plans for 5.75 miles of the four lane Coalfields Expressway.  Includes two bridges.  Indian Gap Bridge, three span welded plate girder with a total length of 220’.  North Welch Bridge, five span welded plate girder with a total length of 1,570’ and pier heights reaching 410’. Two access roads provided for access from Welch and from U.S. Route 52.

Location:        Gilboa, Nicholas County, West Virginia

Project:           Design and preparation of contract plans for the Hutchinson Branch Bridge over Buck Garden Creek.  Single span rolled beam.  Total length 45’.  Roadway portion required over 33,000 c.y. of cut.

Project:           Design and preparation of contract plans for Wiggins Bridge over the Greenbrier River.  Three span continuous curved welded plate girders.  Hybrid girders with Gr. 70 steel used.  Pile supported abutments and spread footing at piers.   Total length 388’.

Location:        Mullens, Wyoming County, West Virginia

Project:           Design and preparation of contract plans for the Mullens Bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Three span continuous curved welded plate girder.  Hybrid girders with Gr. 70 steel used.  Total length 258’.

Project:           Design and preparation of contract plans for Gould Bridge over French Creek.  Three span continuous rolled beams.  Pile supported foundation.  Total length 223’.

Location:        Cass, Pocahontas County, West Virginia

Project:           Design and preparation of contact plans for the Cass Arch Bridge over the Greenbrier River.  This two span continuous hybrid welded plate girder utilizes both Gr. 50W and 70W steel.  Ballusters are provided on the parapets as this bridge is located near the historic Cass Scenic Railroad State Park.  2007 DoH Engineering Excellence Award, Small Bridge winner.

Location:        Mineral Wells, Wood County, West Virginia

Project:           Design and preparation of contract plans for Mineral Wells Interchange Overpass Bridge over I-77.  Two span continuous welded plate girders.  Bridge carries six lanes over the interstate and supports one overhead sign structure.  All foundations pile supported.  Total length 210 feet.

Location:        Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia

Project:           Design and preparation of contract plans for I-77 Interchange Bridge over Camden Avenue.  Three span continuous rolled beams.  Existing piers connected and superstructure widened to accommodate I-77 widening to six lanes. All foundations pile supported. Total length 145 feet.

Project:           Design and preparation of contract plans for Gardner Truss Bridge over the Bluestone River.  One of first metric design projects in state and one of the first to utilize integral abutments supported by piles.  Total length 50 m.
