Montgomery County Animal Shelter
T&L, in conjunction with Shelter Planners of America (SPOA), was chosen by the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors to provide architectural and engineering services for the design of the Montgomery County Animal Care & Adoption Center project.
The center is located on 4 acres adjacent to the previous existing animal shelter and county garage on 4 acres of property in Christiansburg, Virginia;
Project components include programmed space for:
- Animal control officers and animal receiving
- Stray isolation/quarantine areas
- Dog and cat runs/kennels (56 dogs/64 cats)
- Administration
- Surgical and exam suite
- Viewing and adoption
- Public meeting, volunteer, and exterior community interaction areas
- Pet supply and sales area
- Exterior community interaction areas
- Vehicle sallyport for transfer of animals
