Franklin County Government Center

Located on the outskirts of Rocky Mount, this former Winn Dixie grocery store building was transformed by the T&L Design Team into a unique and sophisticate Government Center for Franklin County. Due to the size, condition, site development, parking availability, and geographic proximity, the County found this building to be a great option for their new Government Center.

The Government Center houses various County services previously residing in overcrowded or poorly equipped spaces at the Courthouse Complex or in other remote locations within the County.

The structure is situated on an approximately 15 acre site with good visibility, and includes multi-purpose space that can serve as an Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The EOC space is sized and placed in the building to support the functions of an EOC including all necessary communications, power, emergency power, separate entrance, secure parking area, and flexibility in furnishings.
