Technical Office Assistant – Johnson City TN & Mosheim TN
THOMPSON & LITTON, a multi-disciplined firm with an established practice, which includes both public and private sector clientele, has immediate openings for an experienced Technical Office Assistant in its Johnson City, Tennessee and Mosheim, Tennessee offices. The ideal candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and work overtime on short notice, as necessary. Prior experience working with an Architectural or Engineering firm and experience working with technical specifications and construction documents a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5 years relevant work experience and/or college degree preferred
- Excellent computer skills
- Present a professional appearance
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing, proofing, and revising Contract Documents, reports, specifications, forms, permit applications, and correspondence
- Assist with all administrative tasks associated with Construction Contract Administration (CCA)
- Answer the phones
- File/organize documents
- Organize meetings and take meeting notes
- Maintain records
- Other tasks may vary depending on office location
