Four County Transit Center

Thompson & Litton was chosen by Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens (AASC) to design a facility that will accommodate Four County Transit administration and operations and the needs of the general public. The facility is located on a three (3) acre site in the Wardell Industrial Park, adjacent to the current AASC office site.

The facility provides the following services:

• Hub for regional transit services including public transit;
• Satellite state Division of Motor Vehicles office;and
• Conference center and training facility.

 The Transit Center site and facility includes:

• Administrative and operation offices which offer conference and training rooms;
• Maintenance area with multi-bays;
• Ample parking for employees and visitors;
• Secured parking lot for the vehicles of the agency; and
• Rainwater collection system for bus washing, an oil recycling station, and used motor oil space heater(s)
